This bass, my first, was a Christmas present from my girlfriend. In return, I bought her a beat-to-hell, candy apple red, 1969 Fender Mustang with a matching headstock and competition stripe. Then we couldn't afford to get presents for anybody else and both felt like jerks. Or maybe it was just me that felt like a jerk. In either case, I vowed never to do that again.

Anyway, this is a great bass. It gives me that nice, deep, rattle-the-windows Motown tone that I like on most basslines. I sold it in December 2008 to help finance the purchase of a used Fender Custom Shop Bass VI.
